Ian Thompson – General Counsel

Ian Thompson, general counsel for MTN, brings more than 10 years of professional experience, having counseled high-growth companies in all stages of development on a wide range of issues related to corporate finance, acquisitions and structuring, commercial agreements, and government affairs.

Thompson began his career in Washington, D.C., as an attorney with Williams & Jensen, a government relations and lobbying firm. Prior to joining MTN, he served as a partner with Beacon Law Advisors, a Seattle business law firm. Prior to joining Beacon, Thompson served as an attorney for Perkins Coie, in the Corporate Finance and Private Equity groups. He also founded and operated a sales and marketing business in the wine industry.

Thompson received his BA from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut, and his JD, cum laude, from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia. He resides in Seattle, Washington.
